Mississippi Judge says NO blacks fought for the Confederacy


Judge Ali Shamsid-Deen, guest speaker at Juneteenth event in Jackson, Mississippi advised black people to stay informed on their history.  He also reminded that black people’s ancestors did not sit around to wait & see how the war was going to come out; and that they fought & died IN the civil war.  He made himself perfectly clear to dispel false information of blacks fighting and dying FOR the confederacy.  Judge Shamsid-Deen said No blacks fought FOR the confederacy; but that they fought & died for their FREEDOM.

The judge stressed that black people must teach their children this history & to make sure they NEVER forget it.

This Juneteenth event was held at the Battlefield Park in Jackson, Mississippi on June 23, 2012.
